Nawanshahr District is considered as a beautiful amalgamation of plane and hills and it has several religious places. This district is said to have the blessings of many Saints and Guru`s. Thus, many Gurudwaras, temples and mosques had been built in different parts of Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar District in their memories.

Religious places of Nawanshahr District are as follows -

Gurudwara Nanaksar: This Gurudwara is situated at village Hakimpur of Nawanshahr District. Sikh Guru Hari Rai visited this place. There is a beautiful pond at the eastern part of Gurudwara. It is also said that Guru Nanak also came at this place.

Gurudwara Charan Kanwal: Gurudwara Charan Kanwal was made by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the memory of Guru Har Gobind. There is a big pool in front of the Gurudwara.

Gurudwara Gurpartap: 1 km towards the west there is a village named Chak Guru and Gurudwara Gurpartap is situated here. Guru Tegh Bahadur is said to have visited this place. Maharaja Ranjit Singh gave the land of the village for the construction of this Gurudwara.

Pilgrimage Tourism in Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar District Gurudwara Tahli Sahib Nawanshahr: This Gurudwara is made in the memory of Baba Shri Chand, elder son of Guru Nanak Dev. It is said that Baba Shri Chand stayed here for 40 days and meditated here. Every year birth anniversary of Baba Shri Chand is celebrated here with great enthusiasm.

Gurudwara Singh Sabha Nawanshahr: Gurudwara Singh Sabha was built in 1928. It was constructed by a committee of 25 members. This committee bought the land and the construction of Gurudwara started. After Jaswant Singh, Jagjit Singh Bajwa, Fauja Singh, Major Singh and Thakur Singh became the chairman of this committee.

Kirpal Sagar: In village Dariapur near Rahon, Kirpal Sagar is built as a sign of human unity.

Sanehi Temple Nawanshahr: The foundation of Sanehi Mandir was laid in the year 1869. This temple was made in six years.

Gurudwara Bhai Sikh: In village Hiyala of Nawanshahr District there is beautiful Gurudwara named `Baba Bhai Sikh`. At this place a big fair is held very year on the occasion of Dussehra. According to a myth Baba Bhai Sikh was a native of village Jhingran. The place where Gurudwara is built used to be the residence of Baba Bhai Sikh.

Ancient temple in Rahon, Mausoleum of Tara Singh Geba, centuries old temples at Gadi Kanungo`s reflect the spiritual dedication of the people of this district. Gurudwara Gurpalah, Gurudwara Panj Tahli, Gurudwara Salwana Sahib, Gurudwara Shahidan, Gurudwara Gola Shah and Gurudwara Shahidan are some other religious places of Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar District.
