Screen Awards is a prestigious award ceremony dedicated to Hindi film industry. It commemorates the film personalities of Bollywood for their professional eminence. In Screen Awards the film fraternity itself presents the awards to the film personalities under various categories. The nominations and winners of the event are selected by a panel of jury members. The award ceremony was introduced in the year 1994 and since then is conducted every year. It is the only award ceremony of India which is attended by the Executive Director and the Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
20th Screen Awards
20th Screen Awards was organized in 14th January 2014 to honour the best films of the year 2013. It was aired on Life Ok channel on 25th January 2014. It was hosted by Shahrukh Khan. Screen Awards in 2014 listed some of the eminent actors in the nominations who marked their presence prominently in the supporting roles. The nominations for Best Supporting Actors included Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub from Raanjhanaa,Nawazuddin Siddiqui for The Lunchbox, Jimmy Shergill for Bullett Raja, Anupam Kher for Special 26, Amit Sadh for Kai Po Che! and Saurabh Shukla for Jolly LLB. The Award was won by Saurabh Shukla for essaying the role of Justice Tripathi in the movie Jolly LLB.
