36th Indian Infantry Brigade

The 36th Indian Infantry Brigade was an infantry force that operated under the British Indian Army during the Second World War. The army formation remained in active service from the year 1941 to 1945. The brigade was raised in June 1941 under the British Empire in India. The 36th Indian Infantry Brigade was allotted to the 14th Indian Infantry Division.

It was attached with the Indian Eastern Army (presently Eastern Command of the Indian Army) from March 1942 to April 1943. The troops actively participated in the Burma Campaign. The 36th Indian Infantry Brigade was later allotted to the 26th Indian Infantry Division and served under its administration until the culmination of World War II.

The infantry formation also served as corps reserves for the XV Indian Corps in February 1944. The 36th Indian Infantry Brigade was dissolved in 1945.
