Early Life of Nina Manuel
Manuel was born on 24 April in Mumbai, India to a father from Kerala and a mother from Goa. She did her schooling in Kuwait, Bahrain and Dubai. She returned to Mumbai to complete her graduation in commerce from Mithibai College. Her intention was to become a lawyer as she had finished 2 years in Law College. However life takes on its own course and as fate would have it she had different plans stored. Her mother saw an advertisement in the newspaper for the Femina Look of the Year contest in 1995 and it was her mother who encouraged her to participate and she did as was told. Although, she did not win eventually, she did get spotted by Mehr Jessia. This started her modelling career. She had already started modelling professionally while she had joined GJ Advani Law College to study law, but six months into her course, she dropped out, as she found it hard to juggle between her academics and her modelling career.

The career graph of Neena started with a show for Ensemble, an haute couture store, and she got singled out by India`s top designers. She started out doing a lot of ramp shows and consequently got modelling contracts with San Miguel, Lawman Jeans, Bausch & Lomb, Levi`s, Coca-Cola, The Indian Express and Kodak. Even she has been into more than a few shooting projects with designers and music videos with Baba Sehgal, Remo and Anaida. She has done ramp shows for designers like Suneet Verma, JJ Valaya, Raghvendra Rathore and Ravi Bajaj.
Nina was designated as well as nominated as one of the top 50 most stylish people in the Indian edition of Elle magazine for a stretching time of 5 years, and was also voted among of the 100 sexiest women in the world by both Maxim and FHM magazines. Nina Manuel married New York City-based businessman Luv Shah in a Hindu wedding at the JW Marriott in Juhu, Mumbai and a Church wedding at St. Peter`s Church, Bandra in early 2010. Nina opted for a traditional Gujarati bride look. She wore a white and maroon gharchola sari, chunky gold jewellery, and a maroon choli designed by her friend, designer James Ferreira. Her makeup was done by Cory Walia. Nina`s Church wedding gown was by Gavin Maguel and James Ferreira designed for the backless gown for the post-wedding party. Shah wore an Aki Narula sherwani for the Hindu wedding and a tuxedo from Narendra Kumar for the Church wedding.
She moved to New York City after her marriage and currently lives between New York and Mumbai. Nina Manual loves enjoying her leisure hanging around with her friends, going for drives and movies. Music by the kinds of Mobey, Vienna Scientist, Caf‚ Del-A-Mar, Tricky and Basement Jacks are her personal favorites.
