Kalayavana in the Indian mythology is said to be the son of Gargya. His complexion was very dark; he was as black as a bee and thus named Kalayavana.
Kalayavana was king of the Yavanas. He assembled a large army of Mlechchas and barbarians and advanced impatiently towards Mathura, the place of theYadavas.
Krishna lured Kalayavana into the cave of the mighty Muchukunda, who being disturbed from sleep by a kick from Kalayavana, cast a fiery glance upon him and reduced him to ashes.
