Legend of Ayus After, the birth of Ayus, Urvashi kept the fact hidden. So, Ayus was not seen by his father until he returned from the hermitage of the Rishi Chyavana. Then Ayus was appointed as the vice king with great splendour. It is said that the rite was concluded without any blessings invoked upon Ayus. Descendants of Ayus Far away in the kingdom of Prathishthana, there lived King Ayus with his queen Indumati. Ayus and Indumati ruled Prathishthana well. They did not have any children of their own. So King Ayus and Queen Indumati prayed and meditated to Lord Dattatreya for a child. Finally after being pleased with their prayers, a son was born to them and named him Nahusha. Later King Ayus had three more sons namely, Vriddhasharma, Rajinrambha, and Anena. This article is a stub. You can enrich by adding more information to it.
