According to Vastu Shastra there can be various obstructions in front of an establishment. To generate the right kind of energy it is necessary that there are no obstacles in front of the main entrance. If the shadow of a tree, temple, mountain or flag falls on a building it is known as Chhaya Vedh. According to Vastu Shastra primarily there are five kinds of Chhaya Vedh.
I. Temple Chhaya Vedh : The shadow of any temple falling on a building between 10am and 3pm can result in the disturbance of peace. Business is badly affected and there will be no progress because of this.
II. Dhwaj Chhaya Vedh : If the shadow of a flag or pillar or stupa or samadhi or the flags it may result in ill health.
III. Parvat Chhaya Vedh : If the shadow of a mountain or hill on the east side of falls on a particular it can create obstacles in the owner`s life. It may also lead to infamy.
IV. Vriksha Chhaya Vedh : do not plant large tree near the house. If the shadow of a tree falls on the building between 10am to 3pm it is called as Vriksha Chhaya Vedh. It is believed that it obstructs progress.
V. Bhawan Chhaya Kup Vedh : If the shadow of a building falls on a well or boring it is known as Bhawan Chhaya Kup Vedh. It may result in loss of money.
