As per the norms of Vastu Shastra it is usually not considered favorable to construct on the triangular plots. Such a plot can only prove 70% advantageous, if handled properly and according to the percepts of Vastu Shastra.
On these kinds of plots only the square shaped portion is useful for construction. To get the required square shape it is quite essential to construct the compound walls. The maximum open space should be kept in the North and East sides within the compound for the constructional work in the Southern and Western portion of the plot. The remaining space of the plot can be utilized for plantation, parking, garden and others. This plot of land can also be put for sale or just left unused permanently.
In certain triangular plots the North-East corner is extended towards the North-East direction. In such plots compound walls to the South and West are to be constructed before carrying out any other construction work. The space outside the compound wall can be used only for putting up plantation.
If the triangular plot is extended towards the East then construct compound walls in all the four directions of the plot. The South-West part of the rectangular plot has to be used for the constructional work. Use the space outside the compound wall for the plantation and parking. In case the triangular plot is extended towards the West, compound walls in the West and South directions of the plot are to be constructed.
On following the aforementioned rectifications the negative effects of the triangular plots can be avoided. Otherwise these plots can lead to economic loss, mental restlessness and other health hazards.
