Shiney Ahuja, the very talented actor was born on 15th May in the year 1969 in a family hailing from an army background. He did his schooling from St.Xavier's School, Ranchi and later completed his studies at the Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi. After completing his acting course he shifted to the tinsel town. Driven by the passion of acting since a very tender age he got attracted to the art of stage performance and then joined Barry Johns Acting School in the capital of the Indian subcontinent, the institute which became renowned all over the nation after giving birth to one of the superstars of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Ahuja is married to Anupam Ahuja and they have a daughter named Arshiya who was born on 2007.
Shiney Ahuja's Film Career
Shiney made his debut in the glamour world with the aid of some commercials. Following that he made his appearance in a music video for Stereo Nation, which is a British Asian band. The exceptionally gifted Shiny Ahuja made his acting debut with the movie Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, in 2003 but the movie was released in 2005. Through this film he received rare reviews One of his best performance can however be seen in the 2005 Bollywood flick 'Sins'. Following this Shiny Ahuja again proved his mettle by giving another blockbuster hit Woh Lamhe paired opposite another very talented Bollywood artiste Kangna Ranaut for the second time.
This film was loosely based on the romantic saga in the life of the renowned actor Mahest Bhatt and the 1970s glamour doll Parveen Babi. The third release of his Zindaggi Rocks paired opposite Sushmita Sen failed to create waves in the box-office but. His other release Life in a Metro in which starred opposite Shilpa Shetty gradually set fire in the box-office.
The latest releases of Shiny Ahuja, were Bhool Bhulaiya (2007) opposite Akshay Kumar and Vidhya Balan, Khoya Khoya Chand (2007) with Soha Ali Khan, Hijack (2008) along with Esha Deol.
Awards and Honours to Shiny Ahuja
Shiny has also been rewarded with many honours and the main ones include the Zee Cine, IIFA and Stardust Best Debut Award for his role in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. He also got the Most Promising Newcomer Male Award. In 2007 IIFA Awards Shiny received the Best Actor (Critics) Award for Gangster and also the Society Young Achiever's Award for the same. The Kalakar Awards bestowed on him the Best Actor Award for the movie Khoya Khoya Chand.
