13th Indian Infantry Brigade

The 13th Indian Infantry Brigade was one of the foremost tactical infantry formations of the British Indian Army during the Second World War. It was raised in October 1940 under the British Government of India. The brigade remained in active service till the year 1945. It was initially attached to the 7th Indian Infantry Division and later in July 1941, it was assigned to the 1st Burma Division.

In June 1942, the 13th Indian Infantry Brigade was re-designated as the 113th Indian Infantry Brigade after the troops were sent back to British India. Later in August 1943, it was developed as jungle warfare training brigade. The brigade took part in a number of British battles and military operation during the war.

* 2/7th Rajput Regiment (October 1940 - March 1942)
* 1/18th Royal Garhwal Rifles (October 1940 - June 1942)
* 5/1st Punjab Regiment (April 1942 - June 1942)
* 5/1st Punjab Regiment (October 1940 - March 1942)
* 1st Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (April 1942 - June 1942)
* 12th Burma Rifles (April 1942 - May 1942)

The infantry formation was re-organised during the Second World War. The regiments under the brigade are mentioned as follows-
