H. Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Museum is located at Jai Vilas Palace in Lashkar, Gwalior.The museum was established in the year 1964. The museum displays miscellaneous objects including sculpture, bronzes, stuffed tigers, ivory weapons, miniature paintings, coins, cutglass, manuscripts and gold painted Durbar Hall. The museum is famous for its collection of Chinese, Japanese and European art, Persian carpets, musical instruments and crystal ornaments, woodwork from Malabar and Madurai.The museum is open on all days from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm except on Mondays.
