Imphal, the capital of Manipur is a paradise valley on the lofty hills. Having a wonderful natural beauty, Imphal is also famous for boasting the world's oldest existing polo ground. It also has the 'Ima Keithel' market at Khwairamband Bazar. As the name suggests, this is the only market in the world where women run all stores.
In addition to this, Imphal also boasts an Agriculture Museum at Sanjenthong established in the year 1989. It exhibits tools made of bamboo and cane, different types of local rice, corn, pulses, models of local bullock cart, local stream operated grinders and manuscripts.
If one is to visit the museum, he or she may come between 9 o'clock in the morning to half past four in the evening. There is no entry fee for the visitors.
