The Kannada Research Institute at Dharwad-3, in the state of Karnataka is an archaeological museum established inside the University of Karnataka in the year 1939.
From its year of establishment it is collecting objects of historical importance and is today a show house of prehistoric antiquities, terracotta, inscriptions, copper plates, sculptures, metal images, wooden figures, paintings, manuscripts and many other valuable things.
The Institute remains open from 11am to 5:30pm except Sunday.
