A very interesting place indeed, the Art Gallery and Krishna Menon Museum at Calicut in the state of Kerala was established in the year 1975. It is exactly located on the East hill of Kozhikode.
The gallery was named after the great India leader Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon, the first high Commissioner to London and former defence minister under Prime Minister Nehru. Along with the personal belongings and souvenirs of Mr. Menon, the paintings of Raja Ravi, Varma and Raja Raja Varma are also exhibited here. There are also few specimens of wood and ivory carvings.
