Nestled at Ramanathapuram in the state of Tamil Nadu, the Ramalingavilas Palace Museum is a multipurpose museum. It was established in the year 1979.
In order to preserve the ancient historical objects of the past, the museum has stored objects like glass paintings, photographs, tools, beads and shells, sculptures, arms, plates, oil paintings, wooden sculptures and wooden objects. In addition to these objects, there are also armoury, textiles, paintings, flags, bronze lamps, pottery, copper plates and ivory.
People are welcome to visit the museum between 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. On Sundays and Government Holidays, the museum remains close.
