Mr. K.C. Aryan famous art historian, painter, sculptor established Museum of Folk and Tribal Art at Gurgaon in 1984.This Museum is the treasure trove of Folk, Tribal and Neglected Art form of India.
The Museum contains various types of woodcraft objects, iron vessels, religious art objects, terracotta, embroidery, murals from Himachal Pradesh, phulkaris from Punjab, kanthas from Bengal, hangings from Gujarat, shawls from Swat and lithographs from Amritsar.The museum also houses 200 Shiva heads and a large number of life-size mukhalingas from Karnataka. Museum of Folk and Tribal Art is open on all days from10.00 A.M.TO 12: 30 pm in summer and 2.30 P.M. TO 5.30 P.M in winter except Government holidays.
