Institute Menezes Braganza was founded in 1871. It is located at Panaji. Previously this institute was known as the "Institute Vasco da Gama". Later it was renamed after Menezes Braganza, a famous freedom fighter of Goa.
This institution contains various types of paintings, drawings and sculptures. It has a rare collection of original painting and sculptures of some famous artists of 19th century like Cezanne, Henry Russo, Reonar, Groze, Pissaro and Mattis Broque. Different types of coins, stamps and artifacts are also found there. This institute also has its own library named Panaji Central library, which is one of the oldest libraries of India. The Museum is open on all days except Sundays and Holidays.
