Thilataipati temple is the 58th in the series of Tevara Stalams located south of the river Kaveri. There are two shrines to Shiva here with the Arisilaru river flowing closeby. The temples faces the east and has a south facing Ambal shrine; and shrines dedicated to Ganesha, Shanmukha, Gajalakshmi, Bhairava, Surya, Chandra, Vishnu with his consorts and Rama and Lakshmana with the Shiva Lingams installed by them. There is a unique Aadi Vinayakar shrine where an image of Ganesha depicts him what he was prior to acquiring the elephant face is enshrined. The second Shiva shrine has Azhaganaathar is located behind the primary temple. A ruler from Benares gave endowments to this temple.
