Railway Cricket Players plays for the railways team, also known as the Indian Railways, has been immensely successful in the Ranji Trophy in the recent years. The team does have a history of much success at the domestic levels, until recently when they started tasting success.

Competition History of the Team
For most part of history the railways players did not face victory and failed at the domestic cricket. In the recent times however the team has been an emerging lot with back-to-back wins; two Irani Trophy and two Ranji Trophy wins. Their most recent being against the likes of Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Venugopal Rao, Santhakumaran Sreesanth, R. P. Singh and Parthiv Patel, all of whom have played international cricket for India.

Sanjay Bangar - He is a retired Indian cricketer born in Maharashtra. He represents the Railways team.

Murali Kartik - A dedicated player of the Railways team has also represented India for Test and ODI matches.

Tejinder Pal Singh - He was born in Amritsar, and a first class cricketer. An all-rounder who bowls slow left arm orthodox and bats left-handed, Tejinder has toured with India A and took 6 wickets and made 181 runs in the Top End series in Australia.

Jai Prakash Yadav - He is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler.

Mahesh Rawat - He is an Indian cricketer who is part of Railways cricket team, and presently part of the Rajasthan Royals team in Indian Premier League

V Cheluvaraj - He is the wicket keeper of the side and is a decent enough batsman as well.

Faiz Fazal -He is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Vidarbha cricket team, having previously played for Central, India Red, India Under-19s, Railways, and Rajasthan Royals. He plays as a left-hand opening batsman
