Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Rajasthan
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary with its impressive flora and fauna is located in Rajsamand district.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the district of Rajsamand. From Udaipur the sanctuary is located at a distance of 65 kilometers. Transportations are easily available from Udaipur to arrive at the sanctuary. Covering an area of 578 kilometers Kumbhalgarh Park is a popular with the tourists as a part of the excursion tour from Udaipur. Kumbhalgarh is actually famous for its fort. The same name was retained for the park too so that people can have no difficulty in identifying the location of the wildlife sanctuary. The park lies beside the massive Kumbhalgarh Fort. Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary around Udaipur is one of the must see places.

Jungle cat Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Rajasthan Since the park sprawls over a large area it covers parts of Rajsamand, Udaipur and Pali districts. It is located at the foot of Aravalli Ranges. The travelers will come across wild animals such as like wolves, hyena, leopards, jackal, sloth bear, jungle cat, nilgai, chinkara, sambhar, chausingha and hare. It is the only sanctuary in Udaipur where the behavioral pattern of the wolves can be studied. There are over 40 wolves in Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary.

During summer the wolves are a common sight. They can be easily spotted near the water bodies in a pack. The travelers can witness birds in vibrant hues. Rajasthan is famous for peacocks. If its monsoon one can surely catch a glimpse of this amazing bird with its feathers spread out. No scene in entire Rajasthan can be more beautiful than this. Besides peacocks the sanctuary also houses Doves, Parakeets, Bulbul, Red Spur Owls, Grey Pigeons, Golden Oriole and White Breasted Kingfisher.

The flora of Kumbhalgarh Sanctuary consists of several herbs. Safari trips are available to tour the park.
