Vallabhgad Fort is a fort in the Belgaum district of Karnataka. The Vallabhgad Fort dates back to 1674, and is said to have been built by the Maratha ruler Shivaji. Major portion of the fortified wall is in ruins. The arc of the main entrance is still in good condition. The doorway is small and built in Gomukhi style.
Temples in Vallabhgad Fort
There is a temple of Lord Hanuman after entering from the doorway. There is a temple of Goddess Margubai near the bastion of the fort and on the eastern side of the fort there is an ancient temple of Lord Siddheshwar. Below this temple, there is a large cave which has the Holy “Padukasâ€. It is said that a secret narrow way runs from this cave directly to Sankeshwar town.

Vallabhgad Fort is 5 kms north of Sankeshwar town. The twin peak hill is situated right besides National Highway 4.
