Early Life of Upendra Kushwaha
Upendra Kushwaha was born on 6th February 1960 in Vaishali, Bihar. He belongs from a middle class Hindu family hailing from Vaishali district. After completion of Bachelor in Science degree from Patna Science College in Bihar, he got admission in B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (Bihar) for his Masters degree in Political Science.

Later, Upendra Kushwaha started his career as a lecturer, Department of Political Science, Samta College, Jandaha (Vaishali) from 1985. This college is now named as Muneshwar Singh Muneshwari Samta College.

Hailing from a middle class Hindu family of Bihar, Upendra Kushwaha entered into politics in the year 1985. In 1985, Upendra Kushwaha was made as a State General-Secretary in Yuva Lok Dal from 1985 to 1988. Later he became National General-Secretary of Yuva Janata Dal from the year 1988-93. He had also worked as General-Secretary for Samata Party from 1994-2002.

Political Career of Upendra Kushwaha
Upendra Kushwaha, Indian Politician Upendra Kushwaha at that time became the brilliant star in Bihar hemisphere of politics, when he was the member of Bihar Legislative Assembly in the year 2000-2005. He is appointed as Deputy Leader of Samata Party in Bihar Legislative Assembly. In March 2004 after Lok Sabha election Sushil Modi was elected to Lok Sabha and the same time number of Member of Legislative Assembly of Janata Dal (United) increased than BJP. Since leader of Janata Dal (United) changed his party, Upendra Kushwaha became Leader of Opposition in Bihar State Legislative Assembly.

When Upendra Kushwaha became the well known face in Bihar politics, he founded Rashtriya Lok Samata Party on March 3rd, 2013 and unveiled the name and flag of his party at an impressive rally at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Bihar.

Upendra Kushwaha and socialist leader Rambihari Singh are as founder National President and National General Secretary of the party respectively are working together for the social development of Bihar. Apparently eyeing the support of minorities and the Most Backward Castes (MBCs) for revival of his fledgling political career, the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party founding leader became the opponent of Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar and the supreme of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lalu Prasad Yadav.

In February 2014, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party entered into an alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party -led National Democratic Alliance. As per the alliance, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party contested on three seats from Bihar for 2014 General Elections namely Sitamarhi District, Karakat District and Jahanabad District. The Rashtriya Lok Samata Party won from all the three seats and the founding father of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party becomes the Minister of State in the Cabinet of Narendra Modi, after the huge victory in Indian General Elections 2014.
