T.V. Rajeswar
T.V Rajeswar is the former governor of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim. He was also an IPS officer and an Intelligence Bureau chief.

T.V. Rajeswar, Former Governor of Uttar PradeshT.V Rajeswar, in his lengthy career chaired many posts. He is the former governor of three Indian states Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim. He is also the former Indian Police Service Officer and a former Intelligence Bureau Chief.

Early life of T.V Rajeswar
T.V Rajeswar was born on 28th August 1926 in Salem, Tamil Nadu. He was educated from Presidency College, University of Madras and obtained B.A. (Hon`s), M.A. in Economics.

Career of T.V Rajeswar
Rajeswar joined the Indian Police Service In 1949. He was posted to the former Hyderabad state and after the reorganization of states he was allotted to Andhra Pradesh. He also served in the Nizamabad district, Raichur district as Superintendent of Police and also served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the twin city of Hyderabad and Secunderabad from 1955 to 1962.

In 1962, T V Rajeswar joined Intelligence Bureau as Assistant Director. He also held the post of I.B. Officer in Sikkim and Bhutan during 1963-67 as OSD and Advisor respectively. He held the post of Deputy Director and Joint Director in I.B. Head Quarter during the period of 1967 to 1980. In February 1980, he was promoted as Director, Intelligence Bureau and held the post till August 1983. After that he was posted as Lt. Governor in Arunachal Pradesh in August 1983 and thus became the first ever I.P. /I.P.S. Officer to be appointed to a Constitutional post. In November 1985, he was posted as Governor of Sikkim and held the post till March 1989. In March 1989, he was appointed as Governor of West Bengal. He was in that post till 7 February, 1990. He then became the Governor of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2004 on 8th July and graced the post till 27 July, 2009. After that he joined ORF in July 2010 and is an Honorary Advisor at the institution.

T V Rajeswar is married to Mahalakshmi Rajeswar. The couple has one daughter and one son.
