As a result the state is well connected by road and railway tracks with the other cities of the sub-continent. The nearest international airport is located at Sanganer, Jaipur. From the airport rental cars and taxis are available for the travelers to arrive at their destination.

Buses from the government stand in the south of town run to Nawalgarh at regular intervals. Similarly buses to Mandawa are also available from here. The stand for private buses is east of the main bazaar and tempos and shared auto-rickshaws run between the two via Gandhi Chowk. Railways are also a favorable option for travelling to and from Jhunjhunu. Two train services arrive at the station on the southern edge of town from Sikar via Nawalgarh and the Shekhawati Express runs in the other direction. They halt at Jaipur.

The local tourist office attached to the RTDC Tourist Bungalow at Mandawa Circle can be a lot of help in case the tourists require any kind of help. Apart from touring the city by availing local transports the tourists explore the city in a unique way. Bicycles can be rented from a small shop near the park in the south. The narrow roads are perfect for a bicycle ride.

Jamuna Resort is one of the best luxury hotels around. The two "golden" rooms, which have been painstakingly plastered with Shekhawati murals by one of the art`s last living practitioners is worth watching out for. Other than this there are several budget hotels that offer impressive services.

The best season to visit Jhunjhunu is from September to March.
