Tourism of Narsinghpur district is having several attractions including the fossils of animals and the stone tools which were discovered by the archaeologists. There are several rock caves which show the architecture of ancient times. One of the most prominent among the tourist attractions in the district of Narsinghpur is the Narsimha Mandir. During the 18th Century this temple was constructed by the Jat Sardars. This temple is situated at the district headquarters and it has got its importance as the nomenclature of the district hails from here only.
Another major attraction of Narsinghpur district is Bramhan Ghat. It is situated at Mani Sagar national Highway number 26 and 24 and twelve kilometers away from Kareli railway station, and the bank of the Narmada River. The Yagya shala of Lord Brahma, Rani Durgawati temple, Elephant gate and Varahas statue are places of tourist interest here. Narmada River flows in seven strains. This river flows on the occasions of Makar Sankranti to Vasant Panchami. In these occasions fairs or melas are organised in which the District Administration also takes part. Different stalls of district Govt. Depot are also installed. This exhibition has the display of Agriculture Depot, education, co-operative, health, etc.
Jhoteshwar (Paramhanshi Ganga Ashram) is also one of the notable places of tourist interest in the district of Narsinghpur in Madhya Pradesh. On the route of Mumbai-Hawrah Central railway track, 15 kilometers from Sridham railway station on the central railway track of Mumbai-Hawrah, Jhoteshwar is situated. Naturally rich and very gorgeous temple of golden Raj-Rajeshwari tripur sundari is present here. It is Jhoteshwar temple, Lodheshwar temple, Hanuman tekari, etc which form the major attractions. On the occasion of Vasant Panchami a seven day long fair is organised every year.
The Damaru Ghati is situated at a distance of 3 kilometers from Gadarwara railway station which is on the central Railway`s Itarsi-Jabalpur track. Fort of Chauragharh is 19 kilometers from Gadarwara railway station. It belongs to the ancient period and now there are some remains of the fort which was constructed by Genha dynasty`s King, Gond, Sangram Shah in the 15th Century. In the Narsinghpur district near Barheta village Nonia is also a place having archaeological importance. There are 6 big statues inside parkota which is known as Pandava math or Pandava statue. There is a national festival or a mela which is held every year in Manegaon in memory of Rudra Pratap Singh. Manegaon is located 25 kilometers from the district headquarters on Narsinghpur road. Every year, on Republic day onwards, a mela is held in which state level tournaments of Kabaddi, volleyball, Kho-Kho, Dos ball, etc are organized. Different places of tourist interest including temples, caves, archaeological findings, festivals, etc add up to the glory of the district of Narsinghpur.
