Manegaon

Manegaon is a `census town` situated in the Jabalpur district of the central state of India, Madhya Pradesh. It is about 25 kilometers from the district headquarters town of Jabalpur and is located on the Narsinghpur Road in Champanagar. Geographically, the town is located between 21.85° North latitude and 80.25° East longitude and is situated at a height of 298 metres 977 feet) above mean sea level.

In Manegaon, 10% of the population is less than six years of age. The Census report also throws light on the literacy rate of the town which is 78%. It is much higher than the national average literacy rate which is 59.5%. Out of it, the male literacy rate is 83% and the female literacy rate is 72%.

Every year, the National Festival Mela is organized in the town in the memory of Rudra Pratab Singh, the first king of Orchha.
