Thick-Billed Green Pigeon is an Indian bird that bears a scientific name "Treron curvirostra". It is a species of bird in the Columbidae family.

Size of Thick-Billed Green Pigeon
Thick-Billed Green Pigeon is rather small-sized pigeon being under 26 cm as compared to other green pigeons. A thick pale greenish bill with red base, broad bluish-Green eye ring, grey crown and maroon mantle diagnostic.

Wings of Thick-Billed Green Pigeon
The wings of Thick-Billed Green Pigeon have black primary and secondaries with yellow outer edge. The underside Thick-Billed Green Pigeon has both sexes. The thighs are dark green with whitish scales. Female has greenish under tail coverts with whitish scales. Males have maroon dorsum and dull chestnut under tail coverts.

Concentration of Thick-Billed Green Pigeon
Thick-Billed Green Pigeon ranges across the eastern regions of the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia, stretching from the Eastern Himalayan Mountain Range to Borneo and Sumatra. There are currently two sub species: T. C. nipalensis and T.C.curvirostra. The latter being restricted to South of Thailand.

Thick-billed green pigeon are found across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Tibet and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.
