Theatre Schools in Karnataka
Karnataka possesses several theatre schools, which train candidates in the field of various forms of drama practiced in the country. The Bangalore School of Speech and Drama is an institute located Bangalore in the South Indian state of Karnataka and is affiliated to Trinity College in London. In the year 2013, the students of this theatre school performed the drama `Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves` inside Chowdaiah Memorial Hall.

Ninasam, also referred to as `Neenasam`, is another famous theatre school situated in this state. The full form of this organization is Sri Nilakanteshwara Natyaseva Samgha and the aim of this school is to spread knowledge on the arenas of films, drama and publishing. The school was established by the well-known dramatist K. V. Subbanna, who is a Magsaysay Award winner. The school was set up in 1980 and offers diploma courses.

Theatre Schools in Kerala
Kerala consists of a notable theatre school which imparts theoretical and practical education in the stream of Indian drama. The School of Drama and Fine Arts are located at Aranattukara in Thrissur city is the only institute in this Indian state which offers formal training in the sphere of drama. This theatre school is affiliated to the National School of Drama. Reputed film directors who have passed out of this theatre schools include Shyama Prasad, Rajesh Touchriver and some others.

Karnataka and Kerala consists of renowned theatre schools which are significant institutes for expanding knowledge in the areas of Indian drama.
