This Indian bird is widely found in the Eastern Ghats Mountain Range in India and Central Indian states like Madhya Pradesh.

Streaked Spiderhunter is similar in size to a sparrow. It is olive yellow in colour, with multiple darker streaks. It has a long, curved black beak and yellow legs. Below, it is pale yellow streak with black. Its beak is especially adapted for a nectar diet.

Streaked Spiderhunter is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. In India, it is found in the Eastern Indian states like Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Assam.
