Shri Nitoda Teerth located in Rajasthan is a Jain pilgrimage centre. The teerth kshtra is situated in the peaceful ambience of Nitoda Village. The temple is dedicated to Lord Parshvanatha, the twenty-third Jain Tirthankara.

History of Shri Nitoda Teerth
According to history Shri Nitoda Teerth dates back to the ancient times. As per reference the temple of Lord Parshvanatha was built in Vikram Samvat Era 1200 and dates to a period earlier than the twelfth century. The original idol of Lord Neminath was replaced by the present idol of the main deity Shri Chintamani Parshvanatha. There is an inscription of Bhagwan Neminath in the temple. The teerth kshetra belongs to the Nani Marwad group of five teerths. The idol of Lord Parshvanatha is believed to possess miraculous powers. Thousands of Jains and non Jains from far off places visit the temple to offer their prayers. It is believed that if prayed with all devotion the Lord fulfils the wishes of the pilgrims.

Temple of Shri Nitoda Teerth
The temple of Shri Nitoda Teerth houses the idol of Lord Parshvanatha. The Swetambara temple has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs. The creative temple work boast about the skills of the craftsmen. The walls and pillars of the temple are adorned with specimens of ancient art and paintings. The temple has fifty three idols installed in it that looks simply majestic and very appealing. All the idols are tastefully decorated. The idol of the Lord is 270 cm in height and is black in colour. It is seated in a padmasana posture. The idol has been beautifully carved from a single stone and looks very appealing. The smiling face of the Lord looks very calm and serene. Apart from this there is an idol of Yaksha called Babeshvarji in the temple. An inscription of the year 1491 of the Vikram Samvat Era can be seen on it. The idol is though be very miraculous and looks very impressive. The idol is seen holding a trident, a water pot, a Yakshasutra and a noose that looks like the coil of a serpent. The idol also wears a pair of sandals.

The Temple of Shri Nitoda Teerth organises many annual gatherings and functions. There are provisions for dharamshalas or rest houses for the pilgrims. These are well equipped with all modern facilities. Apart from this there are Upashrays, an Ayambilshala and a Jnanabhandar. The teertha is situated amidst beautiful natural surroundings. The temple is enclosed by scenic beauty that mesmerises and fascinates the pilgrims. The calm and tranquil environment and the surrounding greenery make it a suitable place for religious activities. The kshetra is well connected to road, rail and air. Taxi services and bus services are easily available here. The nearest bus stop is located at Swarupaganj at a distance of 5 kms. The nearest railway station is also located at Swarupaganj. The closest airport is located at Udaipur and Ahmedabad. The chief city of Diyana is located at a distance of 8 kms from this teerth kshetra.
