Early Life of Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor was born on 3rd March 1992 in Mumbai to a mixed ethnic family. She is the daughter of famed Bollywood actors Shakti Kapoor (father) and Shivangi Kolhapure Kapoor (mother). Her father has Punjabi ancestry whereas her mother has Marathi ancestry. She is the grandniece of renowned singers Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle and is the niece of director Tejaswini Kolhapure and actress Padmini Kolhapure. Former disc jockey and actor Siddhanth Kapoor is her brother. Shraddha Kapoor had enrolled in the American School of Bombay where she played handball and soccer on a competitive level. She went to Boston for higher education but left it after getting a film offer from the producer Ambika Hinduja who spotted her on Facebook.

Career of Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor began her acting career in 2010 with the Bollywood movie Teen Patti, in which she appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan, R. Madhavan and Ben Kingsley. Both the movie and her performance received positive reviews from critics. Subsequently, Shraddha signed a three film deal with Yash Raj Films and in 2011 she starred in a teen comedy Luv Ka The End. The actress once again managed to receive positive reviews for her performance in the movie. She was also offered a lead role in Aurangzeb but she declined it and thus cancelled the three film deal with Yash Raj Films. In 2013 Shraddha Kapoor starred in the romantic musical drama Aashiqui 2 and appeared alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. Her appealing portrayal of a small-town bar singer who achieves her dream of becoming a successful playback singer was hugely appreciated by the critics. Her performance in the movie was considered as her breakthrough and helped her greatly to gain a strong footing in the film industry. The movie was also declared as a blockbuster by Box Office India. In the same year Shraddha was also featured in the romantic comedy film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in a cameo role.

Apart form movies, Shraddha Kapoor also supports charitable organisations and has performed in several stage shows. She has walked the ramps of India International Jewellery Week and Lakme Fashion Week in 2012. In the year 2013 she had performed in a fund raising event organized by Star India. She also works as the brand ambassador for Vaseline, Wella and Lakme.

Shraddha Kapoor had won Golden Lion Award for Favourite Promising Actor (Female) in 2010 for the movie Teen Patti. In 2012 year she received Stardust Award for Best Actress for the movie Luv Ka The End. In the following year she won Hello! Hall of Fame Award for Fresh Face Of Year and BIG Star Most Entertaining Actor in a Romantic Role - Female awards, both for the movie Aashiqui 2.
