Early Life and Education of Shirish Kunder
He was born on 24th May 1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He received his degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from SDM College of Engineering and Technology in Dharwad, Karnataka. He studied Advanced Screenwriting from the USC School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.

Career of Shirish Kunder
He started his career with Motorola. He later entered the film industry as an editor, debuting with the movie Champion in 2000. Then he went on to edit several movies in the following years like Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke (2001), Aankhen (2002), Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe (2002), Na Tum Jaano Na Hum (2002), Armaan (2003), Calcutta Mail (2003), Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne (2003), Matrubhoomi (2003) and Sandhya (2003), Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai (2004), Paisa Vasool (2004), Socha Na Tha (2005), Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005), Benaam (2006) and Om Shanti Om (2007). However, it was the editing of Farah Khan`s Main Hoon Na in 2004 which brought him into limelight.

Shirish Kunder, Indian Movie Director As a director, Shirish debuted in 2006 with the romantic comedy drama Jaan-E-Mann starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta. Apart from directing the film, he also edited and wrote the dialogues and screenplay. The film failed at the box office but was critically acclaimed for its innovative directorial style. His next directorial venture was Joker starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Shreyas Talpade. Apart from directing the film, he wrote, produced, edited and composed the film score. He then produced Tees Maar Khan starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna. He also wrote, edited and composed the film score. The film was declared a semi-hit at the box office.

Personal Life of Shirish Kunder
Shirish tied the knot with director and choreographer Farah Khan, who is eight years his senior. The couple is blessed with triplets, son Czar and daughters Diva and Anya. Filmmaker Sajid Khan is his brother-in-law.
