He rose to fame with his brilliant performance in portraying a comic role alongside Sivakarthikeyan in "Ethir Neechal", released in 2013. He gained further recognition for his roles as a comedian in Tamil films, particularly in "Kaththi" (2014) and "Thangamagan" (2015).

Early Life of Sathish
Sathish, born as "Sathish Krishnan" on May 17, 1987 in the Salem city of Tamil Nadu, started out working with actor and playwright Crazy Mohan in his theatre troupe for 8 years. He acted in their stage play “Chocolate Krishna”. Tamil movie director A. L. Vijay made him a co-dialogue writer for his comedy film "Poi Solla Porom" (2008), before offering him an acting role in his period drama "Madrasapattinam" (2010).

Sathish first appeared in debutant director C. S. Amudhan"s parody film “Thamizh Padam”, released in 2010, in the role of "Pandiya". The same year, he was seen featuring in the supporting role of "Pacha" in “Madrasapattinam”. He then appeared in Tamil films “Vaagai Sooda Vaa” and “Marina”. He was featured as "Tarun" in the negatively received romantic film “Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey”. He did the role of a modelling agent in “Thaandavam” and another small role in “Vathikuchi”, before making a breakthrough with his role in the highly successful Senthil Kumar"s comedy drama “Ethir Neechal”. The film released in 2013, featuring Sathish in the role of "Peter", the friend of the protagonist played by Sivakarthikeyan. Sathish earned a nomination in the Vijay Award for Best Comedian. He subsequently played the friend of the protagonist again in “Naiyaandi”, a romantic comedy starring Dhanush. He featured in another romantic comedy “Maan Karate”, released in 2014, portraying "Santosh" alongside Sivakarthikeyan again. He played "Kay Kay" in the action film “Sigaram Thodu”, and was seen as the supporting character "Ravi" in A. R. Murugadoss" action drama “Kaththi”, featuring Vijay in the lead. The latter garnered him the Edison Award for Best Comedian.

Sathish, Tamil Movie ActorIn 2015, Sathish featured in Sundar C"s action comedy ensemble “Aambala”, in the role of "Shakthivel". He played "Raja" in the thriller drama “Tamizhuku En Ondrai Azhuthavum” and "Sathish" in the psychological thriller “Vai Raja Vai”. He next featured in the family drama “Thanga Magan”, portraying "Kumaran", the friend of the lead character "Thamizh" played by Dhanush. Opened to mixed reviews and became a moderate commercial success, the film brought Sathish his second Edison Award for Best Comedian for his work. Sathish was also seen in the 2016 political satire "Muthina Kathirika", featuring in the lead alongside Sundar C. and Poonam Bajwa, and in the action film “Mudinja Ivana Pudi”. His 2017 releases include “Bairavaa”, “Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva” and “Sathya”. In 2018, he was part of movies such as “Mr. Chandramouli”, “Tamizh Padam 2” and “Ghajinikanth”.
