It was simultaneously dubbed and released in Telugu language, titled "7G Brindavan Colony".

He later completed his diploma in Interactive Communication at Pentamedia, while also concentrating on his career in multimedia with non-linear film editing at Sam Media. He has revealed that he never intended to become an actor, but was "roped in" when he visited India for Easter.

Film Career of Ravi Krishna
Ravi Krishna made his debut in films in his father"s production "7G Rainbow Colony", a romantic drama Tamil film written and directed by Selvaraghavan. The film, released in October 2004, saw Ravi featuring opposite Sonia Agarwal in the lead and met high critical as well as commercial success upon release. Also, Ravi"s performance was recognised, fetching him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut - South for that year, amongst other minor awards. Its dubbed Telugu version, "7G Brindavan Colony", was simultaneously released to equal success, being declared a "Super Hit". Ravi Krishna, before starting to shoot for the film, had taken a one month-training in acting at the Film Institute in King`s College, London. Following "7G Rainbow Colony", Ravi acted in S. A. Chandrasekhar`s "Sukran", opposite actress Anita Hassanandani, also sharing screen space with popular Tamil actor Vijay, who featured in an extended cameo.

"Sukran" released in early 2005 and later the same year, the actor was seen in his father"s production and Radha Mohan-directed family drama "Ponniyin Selvan", which again was released in Telugu as "Muddhula Koduku". His subsequent project was again a collaboration with his father and also his brother, Jyothi Krishna, who directed the film, an action flick "Kedi". Ravi featured in the film alongside Kollywood debutantes Ileana D"Cruz and Tamannaah Bhatia, who played the lead heroine and anti-heroine respectively. Released in 2006, it was later dubbed into Telugu and released as "Jadoo". Both "Ponniyin Selvan" and "Kedi", notably produced by Ravi"s father, received mixed reviews from critics and ended their run with average business at the box office. He subsequently worked in his first direct Telugu venture, titled "Brahmanandam Drama Company", a remake of Hindi film "Bhagam Bhag". It released in 2008 and was a box office bomb. Ravi lamented that the film failed at the box office due to poor budgeting and publicity.

Ravi Krishna"s next release was the bilingual film "Netru Indru Naalai" in Tamil, titled "Ninna Nedu Repu" in Telugu. Ravi featured opposite Rekha Vedavyas in the film which was critically acclaimed. In 2009, he starred in "Kadhalna Summa Illai", which was a Tamil remake of the successful Telugu film "Gamyam". Directed by Ilankannan, the film brought Ravi success at the box office again. Both the film and his performance were highly applauded by the critics. Ravi was last seen in "Aaranya Kaandam", a Tamil neo-noir gangster film, written and directed by newcomer Thiagarajan Kumararaja. Supposedly the first neo-noir film in Tamil cinema, it had been in the making for over two years and opened in June 2011, to high critical acclaim. It had its world premiere on October 30, 2010 at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York, where it was honoured with the Grand Jury Award for Best Film.
