Ratangad Fort is an ancient fortress which is situated in Ratan Wadi in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The fort was built around 2000 years ago and offers a panoramic view of Bhandardara. Ratangad consists of a natural rock peak with a cavity at the top which is known as Nedhe. The fortress was occupied by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who was the founder of the Maratha Empire. The village of Ratan Wadi is located at the base of the fortress.
There is an Amruteshwar temple in the vicinity. The shrine includes several ancient carvings which date back to the Hemadpant period from the 18th century. The site of Ratangad Fort is the origin for Amrutvahini (Pravara) River.
