Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha,  Indian movieReleased in the year 1998, the Indian movie, "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha" is a remake of Lawrence Kasdan"s "French Kiss" starring Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. The Indian remake, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha stars Kajol and Ajay Devgn and is written and directed by Anees Bazmee.

Synopsis of Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha
The story of the Indian film "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha" is a romantic comedy which revolves around the two main protagonists: "Sanjana" and "Shekhar" played by Kajol and Ajay Devgn respectively. Sanjana lives in France with her uncle played by Harish Patel and is engaged to Rahul played by Vijay Anand, who leaves for a business trip to India soon after their engagement. Sanjana has severe aviophobia and is afraid of flying, she tries to accompany Rahul but her fear gets the best of her, and she ends up staying in France. Rahul ends up ditching his fiancé for another girl named Nisha played by Kashmira Shah. Not one to accept defeat easily, Sanjana faces her fears and gets on a plane to India, where she bumps into Shekhar, who is a small time crook.

She hates flying and he helps her get through the trauma. He stashes a stolen diamond necklace in her bag and then follows her around, trying to get it back. On the way, they make a detour to a village where Shekhar"s family lives and their light bantering slowly turns to friendship and inevitably to love. And during all this, Sanjana"s fiancé wanted her back but the feelings were no longer mutual.

Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha,  Indian movieA typical Hindi movie climax follows, where Shekhar realises he has to tell Sanjana about his love, and he braves traffic snarls, a car that bursts into flame, and is able to stop her flight from taking off. The happy ending follows.

The star cast of the film "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha" includes Ajay Devgn and Kajol in the central characters and also supported by Sham Deshpande, Satish Kaul, Poornima Bhave, Reema Lagoo, Mushtaq Khan, Tiku Talsania, Anjan Shrivastava, Om Puri, Kashmira Shah, Vijoy Anand and Anant Mahadevan. The movie is written and directed by Anees Bazmee, while it is produced by Gordhan Tanwari. The music in the film is given by Jatin-Lilit whereas Nirmal Jani does the cinematography. The art direction is done by Nitin Desai.
