Located in the Lokhra area of Guwahati in Assam, the Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple is a replica of the famous Tirupati Venkateshwara Temple of south India. Considered to be a sacred place of worship for Hindu pilgrims, the Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple has a unique architectural design and is built over a large acre of land. The temple complex of Lord Balaji comprises the main shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, which is carved out of a single rock and weighs up to 4 tonnes. At the forefront of the temple is the shrine of Lord Ganesha which has pure white architectural structures like the raised 8 ft tall gopuram and images of deities carved on the walls. In the adjoining portions to the main temple there are several other temples that are built in dedication of other deities like Goddess Padmavati and Garuda who is the vahana of Lord Balaji.
Attached to the Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple premises, there is also a garden cum park, where visitors can relax after the religious ceremonies. The temple organises various pujas and ceremonies that attracts devotees and tourists alike from all around.
