Parasgad Fort is a hill fort which is located in the district of Belgaum in Karnataka state. It was constructed by the kings of the Ratta dynasty during the 10th century. The fort is situated almost 2 km towards the south of the village of Saundatti. Parasgad Fort is located at a height of 500 m on the top of a hill. The sides of the hill are nearly perpendicular and rocky.
The hill fort of Parasgad includes a shrine of Lord Maruti (Hanuman) which is presently in a ruined state. A staircase from the fort leads to the Yadravi village. A water reservoir known as Ramatheertha is located near the fortress. There is also a cave which consists of various images of Hindu gods and goddesses, such as Lord Rama, Sita, Lord Parashurama, Jamadagni and a Shiva Linga (Lingam) with Nandi.
