The Falmouth Enterprise, Massachusetts said about Namita Bodaji, "Ms. Bodaji combines dance forms with contemporary issues such as gender equality, love and respect for animals and nature, health and other themes that are found in the spirituality of both east and west". To Bharatanatyam dancer Namita Bodaji, dancing has been a passion since her childhood. Though dancing came to her as a natural quality, she took it up as her profession too. Namita has learnt this magnificent art form under the expert tutelage of the celebrated gurus of Sri Rajarajeshwari Bharata Natya Kala Mandir, Guru G. Vasant Kumar. The esteemed Sur Singar Samsad has conferred the title of "Singar Mani" to Namita acknowledging her contribution in the domain of dance. Namita Bodaji is also a yoga teacher and a yoga practitioner. Since yoga can be an efficacious tool in a dancer`s life, Namita`s yoga camps are particularly designed for a dancer`s routine.
Apart from being a well-known dancer, she is an erudite person too. She did her Masters in English Literature from Bombay University. She also holds the "Nritya Visharad" certificates. She is a Diploma holder in "Indian Art Forms" from Nalanda Centre,
Mumbai and in Yoga teachers training.
The gurus of the far-famed institute Sri Rajrajeshwari Bharatha Natya Kala Mandir namely Guru Vasant, Guru Kalaimamani Mahalingam Pillai, Smt Karunambal Pillai, Guru Kalaimamani Kalyansundaram are the able tutor under whose tutelage Namita has learnt the dance form. She has previously learnt under Guru Bharat Solanki. Namita has also choreographed for several institutes and schools. She acted as one of the members of the Group Study Exchange program for professionals. This Group Study Exchange program was organized by the Rotary International Foundation. This group has visited Pittsburgh in the year 2000. At her institute Samskara Academy for Performing Arts, Namita trains Bharat Natyam students. Some contemporaneous dance pieces like "Winged Migration", "All the People in the World" and Shakespeare`s "Seven Ages of Man" has also been choreographed by her.
Namita Bodaji has carried on three-day workshop at Falmouth, Cape Cod, USA at the Dance Vision 2000 Festival. In the year 2001, she has conducted a series of workshops in Falmouth and Woodshole, Cape Cod. In a children`s bookstore "Eight Cousins" in Falmouth, Cape Cod, she has conducted a workshop. In the year 2001, she has conducted a Bharatanatyam workshop in Yoga Sadhana Studio, Pittsburgh. In the year 2003, she was made the Lead of the "Spirituality of India Festival". The focus of this festival was to examine the aspects of cultural change in India, including that conservation and care for animals and nature.
