She has gained much appreciation for her role as Krishna Tulsi in the popular Television soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, produced by produced by Balaji Telefilms and aired on Star Plus. Mouni Roy shares a special companionship with Sanjeeda Sheikh, Reshmi Ghosh and Narayani Shastri. She has participated in several theatre shows and street plays. She has participated in the show Say Shaava Shaava and was eliminated on January 28, 2008. She had also participated in the dance show Zara Nachke Dikha. Mouni Roy won the Best Airtel Dancer of The Series.

Early Life of Mouni Roy
Mouni Roy was born on 28th September, 1985, in Gandhi Colony in Cooch Behar,West Bengal. She completed her education from Kendriya Vidyalaya School Baburhat in Cooch Behar. Later she did her graduation with a major English literature from Miranda House in Delhi. Mouni Roy continued her further studies and completed her Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi. She is also trained in Kathak and other dance forms like salsa, jazz etc.

Career of Mouni Roy
Mouni Roy started her career in 2007 with the Ekta Kapoor"s drama "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" playing the role of Krishnatulsi opposite Pulkit Samrat. Then she participated and won the first season of "Zara Nachke Dikha" along with Karishma Tanna and Jennifer Winget. Mouni then appeared as Shivani in the series "Kasturi".

In 2009, Roy participated in "Pati Patni Aur Woh" along with Gaurav Chopra in 2010; she was seen playing the role of Roop in "Do Saheliyaan". Mouni made recognition after playing the role as "Sati" in "Life OK`s" mythological series "Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev" from 2011 to 2014. During that time she played the lead as Meera opposite Aditya Redij in Life OK`s "Junoon - Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq" in 2013. In 2014, Mouni participated in the dance reality show on Colors "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" in seventh season along with Punit Pathak. She survived for full 14 weeks and finished off as a finalist.

In 2015, Mouni returned to television with Ekta Kapoor`s supernatural series "Naagin" playing the role of Shivanya opposite Arjun Bijlani and Adaa Khan. She became one of the players of Arjun`s team Mumbai Tigers in Box Cricket League. She also hosted the dance show "So You Think You Can Dance" along with Rithvik Dhanjani on &TV. Currently, Roy is playing a double role in Season 2 on Naagin.
