Mohangad Fort

Mohangad Fort or Jaslodgad, is a ruined hill fort located in the Pune District of Maharashtra. It was once described as a long deserted structure by Shivaji.

This ruined hill fort was described as a long deserted structure by Shivaji in a letter written by him in the year 1659. The remains of the fort include rock-cut steps and several water cisterns. Later, the fort was rebuilt by Bajiprabhu Deshpande by the instructions of Shivaji Maharaj after defeating the ruler Bandal on Rohida Fort.

Mohangad Fort is located at Shirgaon, near Hirdoshi village, on the road between Bhor and Mahad. Pune International Airport and Pune Junction Railway Station are the nearest to visit the fort. National Highway 53 connects Pune to other major parts of the country.
