Located about 29 km from Kalpetta in Wayanad District in the state of Kerala, the Meenmutty Falls is a 3- tiered waterfall with a height of 300 m and is known to be the second highest waterfall in the state.

The word Meenmutty is a combination of two Malayalam words, Meen meaning fish and Mutty meaning blocked.
Description of Meenmutty Falls
The Meenmutty Falls is surrounded by the lush greenery of the Mepadi forest and offers a perfect background for the hikers for some trekking activity. The waterfall can be reached by a 2 km hike through the jungle from the Wayanand - Ooty road. During the monsoon months, the stream of water is at its fiercest and is dangerous. There have been reports of drowned people since 1991.
