Manjhar

Manjhar is one of the most beautiful villages nestled in the Bihar state of India. It is situated in Sherghati Block of Gaya district in Bihar. According to Population Census 2011, Manjhar had population of 845 of which males were 439 and females were 406. The population of children with age 0-6 was 170. The town had higher literacy rate compared to Bihar. In 2011, literacy rate of Manjhar village was 71.26 % compared to 61.80 % of Bihar. The male literacy was 78.67 % and female literacy was 62.74 %.

The village of Manjhar is known for several festivals which it celebrates with great grandeur. Amongst all, Dussehra is the main festival which sees participation of people in large number.
