Lamkhaga Pass is the natural passage located in Himachal Pradesh which connects north eastern Garhwal Districts and Himachal Pradesh. Trekking in Lamkhaga Pass
The Lamkhaga Pass trek is on the Indo-China border. It is a fairly remote trek and is now regarded as the classic route from Gangotri to Kinnaur, which was first crossed by Marco Pallis in 1933.
The adventurous tourists have the choice to set off on various treks near Lamkhaga Pass that introduces them to beautiful meadows, waterfalls and valleys. The trek can be done from either side. An Inner Line Border Permit is required to carry out the trek. The area is restricted even for movement of the shepherds. The beautiful route takes through some of the most remote areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, like the Jalandhari valley that is covered with flowers post monsoon.

Harsil is connected with the major cities and towns in the Garhwal region. The nearest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun which is about 232 km from Harsil. Daily flights are available from here to Delhi. Taxis and buses are available from Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Rishikesh and Barkot. The nearest railway station is at Rishikesh about 215 km from Harsil.
