Lalsot is a city and taluk headquarters situated in the Dausa District of the western state of India, Rajasthan. It is located in the southern part of Dausa at a distance of 50 km. Gangapur City Railway Station and Dausa Railway Station and the Sanganer Airport are located in the vicinity of the town which facilities communication with other cities and towns in the state. This city is located at a height of 298 metres (977 feet) above mean sea level and between 26.57° North latitude and 76.33° East longitude.

Males and females account for 52% and 48% of the population. In Lalsot, 18% of the population is less than six years of age. The average literacy rate of Lalsot is 59% which is slightly lower than the national average literacy rate which is 59.5%. Out of it, the male literacy rate is 71% and the female literacy rate is 46%.
