Laksar is a town and a Panchayat in the Haridwar district of the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is located 28 km towards south from Haridwar, between the towns of Khanpur and Sultanpur. Laksar has an average elevation of 227 metres (745 feet). Other towns in the neighbourhood of Laksar are Pathri, Jabarhera and Roorkee.
Laksar is an important sugar manufacturing destination in the state and also known for the Laksar Junction Railway station, which is the largest Railway Junction in the state, built in 1866.

Out of it, the male literacy rate is 75% and the female literacy rate is 59%.
