Keshari Nath Tripathi, Indian PoliticianKeshari Nath Tripathi is an Indian politician hailing from Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, he was the Speaker of Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh and the political President of Uttar Pradesh in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Uttar Pradesh unit. He is now serving as the 25th Governor of West Bengal, to look after the coordination between the Central Government led by National Democratic Alliance and the state government of West Bengal led by Trinamool Congress.

Early Life of Keshari Nath Tripathi
Keshari Nath Tripathi, a politician and a lawyer, was born on 10 November 1934 at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. His father`s name was Pandit Harish Chandra Tripathi and Smt. Shiva Devi.

Career of Keshari Nath Tripathi
Keshari Nath Tripathi formerly practiced as a Senior Advocate at Allahabad High Court in Allahabad. He earned fame there. He was also the member of Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA).

Political Career of Keshari Nath Tripathi
Keshari Nath Tripathi served as the Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He worked from 1991-1993, 1997 to 2002 and from May 2002 to March 2004. Keshari Nath Tripathi also held the position of Cabinet Minister in Uttar Pradesh. He was also positioned in the Institutional Finance and Sales Tax Department in Uttar Pradesh. During the regime of Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh from 1977-1979, he served in different honorary position. Keshari Nath Tripathi was a member of the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly five times. From 1977 to 1980, 1989 to 1991, 1991 to 1992,1993 to 1995, 1996 to 2002 and 2002 to 2007. On July 14, 2014 he was named as the Governor of West Bengal. He was successor of Mayankote Kelath Narayanan (M. K. Narayanan), who was the 24th Governor of West Bengal.

Works of Keshari Nath Tripathi
Keshari Nath Tripathi is also an author and a poet. He published several books. The chief literary works of Keshari Nath Tripathi are two anthologies called "Manonukriti" and "Aayu Pankh". Keshari Nath Tripathi is also only Cabinet Minister nominated three times as the Honorable Speaker of Vidhan Sabha of Uttar Pardesh. His commentary on The Representation of People Act, 1951 is still widely acclaimed in the legal arena. Aside from that he has written many other books not only in Hindi language but also in English language. He also participated in Hindi poets gathering that takes place both in India and in abroad.

Kesharinath Tripathi is married to Sudha Tripathi and has three children.
