From that time onwards, this Kastaharni Ghat serves a removal of Distress. The water of this ghat is blessed as believed by the locales. It is believed that on the return of Lord Rama from Mithila to Ayodhya, he married Sita. After marrying, Lord Sri Rama took a dip in this water to relieve them from fatigue. The people of this place and the adjacent states of Bihar attract the scenic beauty of Kastaharni Ghat.
