Kaithal Fort

Kaithal Fort located in Kaithal District of Haryana was built during the reign of Akbar. Now the original fort can be seen only in ruins.

Kaithal Fort, HaryanaKaithal Fort is located in Kaithal District of Haryana. This fort was built during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar by the Bhai Dynasty (Sikh-Jat rulers of the erstwhile Kaithal princely state were known as Bhais.) Later it was conquered by the British Army who added several gates in the fort and used it to control the entry of goods and items in the city. After several renovations, the original parts of the fort can be seen less. Kaithal Fort was renovated in the year 2016 and since then it has become the most important landmark of Kaithal. The fort is now consisted of several Muslim Tombs of 13th century and later.

Visiting Information to Kaithal Fort
Chandigarh Airport and Kaithal Railway Station are the nearest to visit the fort. National Highway 19 connects Kaithal to other major cities of India.
