Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Indian MovieJo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar is a 1992 Indian movie of sports drama genre, directed and co-written by Mansoor Khan, produced and co-written by Nasir Hussain. The film stars Aamir Khan, Ayesha Jhulka in the leads. The story of the Indian movie, "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar" deals with a cycling and drama competition between schools. Due to this fact the film creates excitement among the audience and therein lies the success of the film. "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander" is often regarded as the best film made on high school campus and sports drama.

The film has been inspired by the popular Hollywood movie "Breaking Away". This storyline became a trend-setter, thus inspiring the Telugu film “Thammudu” (1999) and its remakes in Tamil as “Badri” (2001), in Kannada as “Yuvaraja” (2001) and in Bengali as “Champion” (2003).

The Indian movie "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander" is a story of several young students. The protagonist is "Sanju" played by Aamir Khan. The other characters of the film are his friends and his family. In his family he has his father named "Ramlal" played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda and also an elder brother "Ratan" played by Mamik. The story is located in a hill station. At that place there are some boarding schools where the richest families send their sons and daughters. There are also a few local schools along with some of the high profile schools. One such local school is named as “Model School”. In this school Ramlal is a coach and Sanju and Ratan study here. One of the biggest attractions for the people of that place is the inter-school sports competition which is organized every year. All take part in that including the local schools. Ratan is a strong contender for this competition. Ratan, at one time, proved to be good competitor to the Rajput School. Since then Ramlal thinks that his elder son Ratan can again win this competition. Ratan is a perfect son. He is very obedient to his father. Sometimes he runs their small restaurant too.

On the contrary Sanju is a carefree fellow who loves being with his friends. He wants to roam around with beautiful girls. Sanju"s friends consist of not so bright boys. One tomboyish girl "Anjali" played by Ayesha Julkha is also Sanju"s friend who loves him from her childhood. Unaware of this fact Sanju gets attracted to another girl "Devika" played by Pooja Bedi. Anjali is shattered. All of a sudden crisis crops up when Ratan is beaten up by the students from Rajput School. Sanju learns to share responsibilities. He gets transformed from a careless guy to a responsible friend and also a brother. The inter-school competition starts. But the competition is not healthy. At the time of cycling competition which Sanju attended because of his brother"s illness, "Shekhar Malhotra" played by Deepak Tijori tries a lot to defeat Sanju but at last hard work wins. Sanju understands Anjali"s love and everything ends on a happy note.
